Now Hiring: Full-time Medical Records Clerk

Responsibilities of a Medical Records Clerk:

• Assist in organizing, planning, and directing the medical records section in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Collect and assemble/compile records for committee review, as requested, and prepare reports for staff/other committees as directed.
• Assembles, classified and indexes medical data in accordance with accepted procedures and facility policy
• Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with our established policies and procedures, and as instructed by your supervisors.
• To maintain medical records in accordance with federal and state guidelines, as well as in accordance with facility policies and procedures, to assure that a complete medical records program is maintained.
• All other duties assigned by Supervisor or Administrator

Qualifications of a Medical Records Clerk:

• Ability to work independently or part of a group.
• Knowledge of office procedures, medical terminology, typing, filing, transcription, and computers is required.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decision when circumstances warrant such action.
• Previous long-term care experience desirable. Computer knowledge preferred.

Education:

• High School Graduate or GED equivelant
