    Job Summary and Qualifications

    The Manager of Facilities Management supervises completing and continuation of preventive maintenance program as well as corrective maintenance on building equipment and grounds.

    What you will do in this role:

    • In this role, You will perform preventative maintenance on hospital equipment according to established procedures and timetables. You will handle the following including but not limited to: Electrical, Mechanical/HVAC, Plumbing, Medical Gas, Fuel, Other.
    • You will perform tests and inspections on various equipment and systems.
    • Your role assesses needs and orders spare and replacement parts.
    • You will have working knowledge of the principles of electricity, i.e. voltage, resistance, currents.
    • You will conduct daily rounds as assigned, log equipment readings, make indicated adjustments and/or create work requests for major repairs.
    • You will proactively identify and perform needed repairs to buildings and equipment.
    • Your role maintains Environment of Care by following the standard procedures: Life Safety, Infection Control, Universal Precautions.
    • You will serve as workgroup participant.
    • You will manage departmental personnel and maintain a safe work environment.
    • Your role assures compliance with appropriate regulations and tracks employee requirements.
    • You will complete work orders through Engineering Central Program and for regulatory purposes, Complyos Program on a daily basis.
    • You will demonstrate knowledge to access SDS information.
    • You will demonstrate the ability to operate construction tools and equipment.
    • Your shift expectations will be: 6:30AM-4:00PM Monday-Friday; also available for on-call purposes every day.


    What qualifications you will need:

    • High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree in Industrial Technology preferred.
    • Current Driver’s License, CPI (within 30 days of hire).
    • Five-years in management of a maintenance program in a hospital or commercial/industrial setting. Construction background is preferred.

    Parkridge Medical Center is a 270 bed hospital. We are near downtown Chattanooga. We feature comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical services. These services include cardiovascular surgery and cancer treatment. These services include intensive care, orthopedic and spine surgery, and rehabilitation. The facility includes a state of the art neurosurgery program. Patients also have access to OB-GYN services. Patients have access to a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. They also have access to (NICU) and behavioral health treatment centers for children and adults.
