Medical Librarian (MLS) provides guidance and assistance to users researching medical information using database searches, inter-library loans, and other resources. Ensures the cataloging and circulation of materials are performed efficiently and correctly according to policies and standards. Being a Medical Librarian (MLS) creates training materials and delivers library instruction and education programs for physicians and other staff. Leads or contributes ideas for library strategic planning, quality initiatives, and the development of digital media and educational resources. Additionally, Medical Librarian (MLS) maintains current knowledge of medical developments and scientific literature. Requires a master's degree in library science. Typically reports to a manager. The Medical Librarian (MLS) occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. This hospital is looking to hire a permanent and full time Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician on an evening shift (with some flexibility). The Medical Technologist/MLT will be responsible for testing in all departments of the laboratory (including chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, blood bank and microbiology). For consideration, applicants must have either an AS or BS Degree in Medical Technology (or a related field). ASCP or AMT Certification is preferred. Both experienced applicants and new graduates are encouraged to apply
