Medical Librarian Assistant assists the librarian and users with the operations of a medical library. Helps with computer searches, inter-library loans, cataloging, circulation, general reference and questions about library services. Being a Medical Librarian Assistant organizes and shelves materials and prepares new materials for circulation. May perform data entry to update library systems. Additionally, Medical Librarian Assistant may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Medical Librarian Assistant works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. Hours are M-Th from 8am to 5pm and Fridays from 8am to 1pm. Very limited or no overtime. Paid holidays after 90 days. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, short and long term disability and life insurance after 90 days as well as 401K after one year. 3 weeks of PTO per year, accrual starts on day 1.
