Additionally, Medical Librarian Assistant may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Key Responsibilities include:Leadership and Educational ProgrammingLead the development and implementation of engagement and educational programs centered around contemporary topics and scholarly resources, including but not limited to information literacy, the information cycle, artificial intelligence (AI), open educational resources (OERs), publishing, and scholarly communication (including publishing and copyright).Coordinate library and campus discussions on emerging topics about the role of scholarly communications to continuously engage faculty and students with innovative ideas and resources.Campus PartnershipsEstablish and nurture collaborative partnerships across campus to promote scholarly communication and engagement topics.Work closely with librarian liaisons and faculty to identify areas of mutual interest and promote interdisciplinary collaboration.Faculty and Student SupportCollaborate with librarian liaisons to provide guidance and support for faculty and students in the areas of scholarly communication practices, AI tools, Open Educational Resources, and copyright-related matters.Offer workshops, training sessions, and one-on-one consultations to facilitate the integration of these topics into curriculum and research.Librarian Liaisons at Krueger LibraryDevelop and deliver library instruction sessions for assigned liaison departments. Serve as a member of the Reference/Research Help Team, providing reference services both in person and online to assist users with their research needs.Contribute to collection development efforts for liaison disciplines, ensuring that library resources align with the needs of the university's academic programs.Engage in scholarly research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of field.Provide evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance teaching abilities.Contribute to student growth and development including student advising.Provide service to the university and community including the program, the department, the college, the university, and the greater community.Support Winona State University's mission to enhance the intellectual, social, cultural, and economic vitality of the people and communities we serve.
