Medical Librarian Assistant jobs in Lubbock, TX

Looking for an individual to join a growing medical facility in Southwest Lubbock that provides family medicine, urgent care, sports medicine and physical therapy. Applicants must possess clinical experience and prefer one year healthcare experience. Prefer an individual experience with administering IM injections.

Responsibilities:

• Report directly to clinic management
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced medical environment
• Perform general nursing duties under direct supervision of physician or nurse practitioner
• Assist physician and nurse practitioner in exam rooms with various tasks related to patient care
• Escort patients to exam rooms, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient’s chart
• Assist with lab duties including drawing patients’ blood and completing lab orders
• Give instructions to patients as instructed by physician or nurse practitioner
• Ensure all related reports, labs and information filed are available in patients’ medical records prior to their appointment
• Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required
• Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls
• Assist with messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and nurse practitioner

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
