Medical Librarian Assistant jobs in Florida
Medical Librarian Assistant assists the librarian and users with the operations of a medical library. Helps with computer searches, inter-library loans, cataloging, circulation, general reference and questions about library services. Being a Medical Librarian Assistant organizes and shelves materials and prepares new materials for circulation. May perform data entry to update library systems. Additionally, Medical Librarian Assistant may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Medical Librarian Assistant works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. 2-3 years experience working with the business or social sciences fields is preferred; recent experience in library public services with an emphasis in reference services; demonstrated experience and/or knowledge in current information technology teaching experience; experience work with faculty developing assignments involving library research; recent experience in an academic library.
