A temporary Full-time Japanese Technical Interpreter/Translator position is available at a global manufacturer in Nevada.

Assignment Duration: From September 2021 for about 3 months (may be extended)

Work Schedule: Day-shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Duties:

• Belonging to their Interpretation/Translation Dept. to support any translation/interpretation needs for the current ongoing project
• Interpret between Japanese expats and local staffs/engineers in various occasions, i.e. meetings, training, orientations but mainly providing interpretation support to repair and troubleshooting the equipment and machinery within the factory.
• Provide interpretation for various meetings as well as telephone and video conferences.
• Translate technical and non-technical documents including policies, instructions and manuals when necessary.
• Compose and translate emails, reports etc.
• Assist Japanese visitors and expats with their daily needs.
• Required to translate both Japanese to English and English to Japanese.
• Other duties may assign by management.

Qualifications:

• Written and verbal fluency in Japanese and English, excellent communication and writing skills.
• Japanese/ English in business language skills
• Simultaneous Interpretation experience in a technical, manufacturing environment is STRONGLY PREFERRED.
• Technical background is highly appreciated.
• Working experience in Manufacturing environment is STRONGLY PREFERRED.
• Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to translate quickly and accurately
• Flexibilities to adapt various business situations

Working environment:

• Manufacturing Plant - expecting loud noise, may wear protective gear (such as a goggle, gloves, Safety toe-shoes)
• Expecting work long distance within the factory

Notes:

• Accommodation (Hotel) during the assignment will be provided
• One round trip airfare (mileage) will be reimbursement
• Transportation (shuttle service) between Hotel and the company will be provided
