We are seeking a Farsi (Persian) Interpreter to provide language interpretation services in legal settings. The ideal candidate will facilitate communication between non-English speaking individuals and court personnel to ensure accurate understanding and fair treatment.

Purpose: Medical Appointment

Duties:

- Interpret spoken communication in court proceedings accurately and impartially
- Translate written documents such as legal forms and evidence
- Maintain confidentiality and neutrality throughout interpretation sessions
- Assist with cultural nuances to ensure effective communication
- Provide consecutive or simultaneous interpretation as needed

Skills:

- Proficiency in multiple languages, including English and at least one other language
- Knowledge of legal terminology and court procedures
- Strong communication skills to convey complex information clearly
- Ability to remain impartial and unbiased during interpretation
- Understanding of confidentiality laws such as HIPAA
- Familiarity with child protective services, social work, or medical environments
- Experience in interpreting for hospitals or medical settings is a plus
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is advantageous
