Medical Device Lab Technician works in a laboratory setting, producing medical devices such as prosthetics or orthotics, implants, or other devices. Configures and constructs devices to specifications established by a physician or other health care provider. Being a Medical Device Lab Technician utilizes tools and precision instruments to result in customized fit, optimal function, and maximum comfort for the patient. Disassembles, repairs, and reassembles defective or worn devices or appliances. Additionally, Medical Device Lab Technician works closely with the Orthotist or Prosthetist. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Medical Device Lab Technician works under moderate supervision. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Delivery and pick-up of orthopedic surgical inventory
· Utilize company inventory software
· Assist with restocking surgical instruments in the field
· Maintain a clean vehicle and complete appropriate maintenance/safety records
· Assist with on-call responsibilities in accordance with company policy
· Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Must have 1 year minimum delivery driving experience
· Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record
· Physically able to lift and move medical equipment up to 60 lbs.
· Flexibility of schedule (including overtime and weekends)
· Punctual and reliable
