Medical Device Lab Technician works in a laboratory setting, producing medical devices such as prosthetics or orthotics, implants, or other devices. Configures and constructs devices to specifications established by a physician or other health care provider. Being a Medical Device Lab Technician utilizes tools and precision instruments to result in customized fit, optimal function, and maximum comfort for the patient. Disassembles, repairs, and reassembles defective or worn devices or appliances. Additionally, Medical Device Lab Technician works closely with the Orthotist or Prosthetist. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Medical Device Lab Technician works under moderate supervision. Limb Lab intends to hire a Medical Coordinator (MC) for its busy office in Rochester, Minnesota. Ideal candidates for this position will have multiple years of experience in a medical office setting. Our MC: answers incoming calls to our Rochester office; sets up appointments for patients; gathers intake information from those patients, and verifies benefits; assists with the gathering of necessary medical documentation; assists with invoicing and billing patients.
