Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Chemistry Technician to join our team in the field of medical combination devices. As Chemistry Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine laboratory tests for quality control activities.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine quality control testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using various analytical techniques, such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and dissolution testing (prior experience is desired, but not required)
Accurate weighing and measuring of reagents, standards, and samples
Adjust, maintain, and calibrate equipment such as balances, repeaters, pH meters, etc.
Preparation of mobile phases, media, solutions, and standards
Data entry and verification for all testing
Procure and restock chemistry lab supplies (e.g. stock transfers, chemicals, columns, etc.)
Compile and maintain complete and accurate records of sample preparation in laboratory notebooks, forms, and logs
Adhere to the MedAlliance standard operating procedures, test methods, and quality instructions
Wash glassware for chemistry lab use and maintain clean laboratory area as needed
Adhere to all safety measures when handling chemicals and hazardous waste regarding use, mixing, and disposal
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience working in a laboratory or manufacturing cleanroom in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry is required.
Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
Basic ability to analyze data and accurately document and record results.
Prior experience working in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry is required.
