Medical Device Lab Technician works in a laboratory setting, producing medical devices such as prosthetics or orthotics, implants, or other devices. Configures and constructs devices to specifications established by a physician or other health care provider. Being a Medical Device Lab Technician utilizes tools and precision instruments to result in customized fit, optimal function, and maximum comfort for the patient. Disassembles, repairs, and reassembles defective or worn devices or appliances. Additionally, Medical Device Lab Technician works closely with the Orthotist or Prosthetist. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Medical Device Lab Technician works under moderate supervision. The Device Shop is excited to open it's first Connecticut location in Westport.
As a result, we are looking for our first associate to join our team. A Technical Associate is responsible for diagnosing and performing repairs on a wide range of devices including: phones, ipads, laptops, gaming systems, etc. A Technical Associate is responsible for remaining informed and educated on newly released, upcoming technology in the industry. Additionally, they are responsible for cross training additional technical staff members to ensure that the store is prepared to repair a variety of devices.
