Medical Device Lab Technician works in a laboratory setting, producing medical devices such as prosthetics or orthotics, implants, or other devices. Configures and constructs devices to specifications established by a physician or other health care provider. Being a Medical Device Lab Technician utilizes tools and precision instruments to result in customized fit, optimal function, and maximum comfort for the patient. Disassembles, repairs, and reassembles defective or worn devices or appliances. Additionally, Medical Device Lab Technician works closely with the Orthotist or Prosthetist. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Medical Device Lab Technician works under moderate supervision. Responsibilities:
- Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques to address challenging behaviors and promote skill development.
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy sessions to children, following the treatment plan and collecting data on progress.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure consistency in treatment and support.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, making adjustments as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of client progress and treatment outcomes.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, or college degree in psychology, special education, or a related field.
- Experience and a love for children and learning development
- Strong observation and data collection skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.
