Medical Billing Supervisor jobs in Lewes, DE
Medical Billing Supervisor oversees the preparation of medical bills and invoices, the calculation of provider charges, and verification of patient insurance. Maintains insurance documents and contracts. Being a Medical Billing Supervisor oversees the submission of claim reports and filing procedures. Ensures billing operations are performed in an accurate and timely manner. Additionally, Medical Billing Supervisor evaluates billing processes and procedures and assists management in developing revisions. Monitors the revenue cycle activities and resolves any issues. Needs to be familiar with ICD-10, CPT, and/or HCPCS Coding Systems as well as claim forms such as CMS-1500 and UB-04. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Medical Billing Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Billing Manager, you will be a key part of our Billing team.
- The billing manager will be responsible for evaluating the current billing processes and implement new processes to improve the efficiency of the billing flow.
- Verify insurance benefits
- Communicate with insurance companies regarding denials and appeals
- Ensure trips are billed within a timely filing limit
- Payment tracking and follow up
- Manage revenue cycle
- Oversee all billing functions and manage billing staff
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
• Availability to multitask with a keen attention to detail
• Proficient computer skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience dealing with major insurance companies and patient scheduling is preferred
• Ability to work in high pressure situations
• Clean background check
• Negative drug screening
• COVID-19 Vaccination
• Ability to work full time in an in person setting
• Minimum 5 years billing management
