Medical Billing Supervisor jobs in Jacksonville, FL

Medical Biller - responsible for claim submission, posting of insurance and patient payments, and account follow up

Duties to include but not limited to:

• Prepare and submit medical claims that are coded appropriately. Review encounters for any errors and take appropriate action.
• Review payer denied claims and take appropriate corrective action accurately and timely
• Follow up on unpaid claims
• Work to decrease A/R
• Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD 10, and rejection codes
• Working knowledge of payer websites for eligibility verification, claim status inquiries, and remittance advise
• Post patient and insurance payments and process necessary adjustments
• Review, validate, update and correct, if necessary, demographic and insurance information on specific claims and on patient accounts.
• Communicate with coworkers, management, and providers regarding any billing problems that arise.
• Keep complete accurate and up to date documentation on all accounts
• Filing, scanning, prepare outgoing mail

Qualifications:

• Detail oriented, organized and able to maintain a high degree of accuracy.
• Minimum 1 year of medical billing experience
• Experience in Medware/Kareo preferred
• Knowledge and experience working with EMR’s
• Ability to multi-task in a high paced environment with good organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Must maintain a positive and professional attitude

Salary is based on qualifications and past experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
