Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical procedures, ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance companies, and maintaining patient billing records. Duties: - Review and verify medical documentation for accuracy and completeness - Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-10, ICD-9, CPT) to procedures and diagnoses - Submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail - Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resubmit as necessary - Communicate with insurance companies to resolve billing issues - Maintain patient billing records and update as needed - Provide support to patients regarding their medical bills and insurance coverage - Collaborate with the medical office staff to ensure accurate and efficient billing processes - Stay up-to-date with changes in medical coding regulations and requirements Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent; certification in Medical Billing preferred - Proven experience as a Medical Biller in a healthcare setting - Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems (ICD-10, ICD-9), and billing procedures - Proficient in using medical billing software/systems - Familiarity with medical collections processes and procedures - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy - Strong organizational and time management skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team If you are a dedicated professional with a strong background in medical billing, we would love to hear from you.
