Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. The Billing Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the billing operations of our organization, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all billing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in math, accounts receivable, and medical billing, along with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Duties:

- Review and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to billing policies and procedures
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
- Coordinate with insurance companies and third-party payers to resolve billing issues
- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline billing processes and improve overall efficiency
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in billing regulations
- Train new employees on billing procedures and software systems
- Handle escalated customer inquiries or complaints related to billing

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred)
- Proven experience as a Billing Manager or similar role
- Strong knowledge of medical billing practices and procedures
- Proficient in using billing software systems
- Excellent math skills with attention to detail
- Familiarity with financial concepts such as credit analysis and account reconciliation
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal teams, insurance companies, and customers
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
