Medical Billing Specialist jobs in Orange, CA

Primary Role: The Medical Pre-Billing Specialist position provides administrative and claims-processing support to the operations division of LIFEwest Ambulance Southern California.

Primary Job Functions:

• Work closely with Operations to identify, prepare, and track claims for billing to the proper entity.
• Strong organization skills.
• Advanced computer skills and proficiency in Excel and Word, comfortable using multiple computer systems and programs.
• Ability to meet deadlines and track data.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Other duties as needed

Work Environment:

• Full time, in-house position at LIFEwest Ambulance's Orange County operation in Costa Mesa, CA working M-F from 8:00am – 5:00pm. (Some flexibility possible)
• LIFEwest provides emergency and non-emergency medical transport to hospitals, insurance plans, and other emergency care providers and their patients. As such, we are a service organization with our highest priority being the provision of excellent customer service by each member of our team.

Hiring Requirements:

• Minimum two years office support experience is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Basic understanding of Medical Billing processes.
• High School Diploma Required.
• Excellent organizational skills (oral and written) and the ability to excel at details, multi-tasking and working under pressure.
