Medical Assistant jobs in Clovis, NM
Medical Assistant assists in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records or inputs information to patients' medical records. Being a Medical Assistant prepares treatment rooms for the examination of patients. May draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. Additionally, Medical Assistant may perform administrative duties such as ordering supplies, answering the phone, and scheduling appointments. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RCA) certification. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Medical Assistant works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Medical Assistant typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

Prime Medical Testing is looking to add a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to our staff to perform Life Insurance Physicals. Professionalism, punctuality, presentation, and communication are essential elements to success! Paramedical Examiners are always expected to be on time, present themselves in a competent manner, and practice effective communication with clients and other members of our team. Duties include recording vitals, recording health histories, collecting a urine sample, drawing a blood sample, occasionally performing an EKG. Scheduling Exams. Taking orders from Agents. General Office duties as needed and required. We prefer that applicants have at least 1 year blood drawing experience, know medical terminology, and better than average computer skills. Bilingual is a plus. All candidates will be required to pass a background check and drug screen. Please come by our office to fill out an application.
