Medical Assistant assists in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records or inputs information to patients' medical records. Being a Medical Assistant prepares treatment rooms for the examination of patients. May draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. Additionally, Medical Assistant may perform administrative duties such as ordering supplies, answering the phone, and scheduling appointments. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RCA) certification. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Medical Assistant works under moderate supervision. Medical clinic in Glendale, CA, is looking for Medical Assistants with limited X-Ray license. We are looking for employees who can provide excellent patient care for a medical clinic. We are open M-F from 9 AM to 5 PM.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Patient Care.
- Prepare examination and treatment rooms
- Take patient histories and vital signs.
- Prepare patients for examination and treatment.
- Dispense medication as directed.
XRAY:
- Prepares patients for radiologic procedures. Takes X-Rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
- Uses a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials.
- Logs radiologic procedures completed. Processes related paperwork using computer equipment as directed.
- Maintains examination rooms. Stocks necessary medical and radiologic supplies.
- Maintain a clean, professional working/treatment area.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have MA and X-Ray tech licenses
- 1 year of MA experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer skills
- Experience with electronic health records
- Responsible and self-motivated
- Have valid licenses and certifications
- Bilingual in English & Armenian preferred
