Media Production Manager manages the planning and execution of the pre-production, production, and post-production stages of television or web broadcasts, shows or videos. Ensures pre-production processes, including ideation, concept creation, casting, script writing, budgeting, specifications, and scheduling are completed. Being a Media Production Manager engages and organizes the technical and logistical resources required for each production. Coordinates the team of production technical specialists for camera, sound, and lighting for each production. Additionally, Media Production Manager facilitates post-production editing operations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Media Production Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Media Production Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Position requires ability to walk, stand, sit, talk and hear; uses hands to operate tools or controls. May need to occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing up to 30 pounds such as equipment, supplies, etc. Vision and hearing must be at, or correctable to, normal ranges. EXPECTED SCHEDULE
This position is up to 20 hours per week, including regular evenings, weekends and/or holiday work. Attendance at a minimum of 1-2 evening events or meetings per week is required. Work will take place at the GCAM Offices, as well as various locations throughout the Town of Granby, MA.
