Ensures pre-production processes, including ideation, concept creation, casting, script writing, budgeting, specifications, and scheduling are completed. Being a Media Production Manager engages and organizes the technical and logistical resources required for each production. Coordinates the team of production technical specialists for camera, sound, and lighting for each production. Additionally, Media Production Manager facilitates post-production editing operations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Media Production Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Video Post Production Specialist
5:00 Films & Media is looking for a full-time, talented video post production specialist in the DMV/Baltimore area to join our elite creative team. The ideal candidate must be a skilled video editor and motion graphics designer with a positive, collaborative, can-do attitude. You will often be taking direction from a Creative Director as part of a team on larger projects, but may at times be working independently on smaller projects. You should have a strong storytelling ability, a good eye for composition and graphic design, and precise attention to detail. You should have experience working with the Adobe Creative Suite along with related tools. You should be prepared for a demanding role (often working under pressure to meet tight deadlines) that is highly rewarding (most projects are for mission-driven organizations working to solve some of the world’s biggest problems). You will often be working on multiple projects simultaneously, so excellent time management, proactive problem-solving and communication skills are essential. Finally, a quirky sense of humor and love of laughing aren’t required, but they’ll surely help.
