Media Production Manager jobs in Biloxi, MS
Media Production Manager manages the planning and execution of the pre-production, production, and post-production stages of television or web broadcasts, shows or videos. Ensures pre-production processes, including ideation, concept creation, casting, script writing, budgeting, specifications, and scheduling are completed. Being a Media Production Manager engages and organizes the technical and logistical resources required for each production. Coordinates the team of production technical specialists for camera, sound, and lighting for each production. Additionally, Media Production Manager facilitates post-production editing operations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Media Production Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Media Production Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for the safe operation of the crane, as well as the safety of the gang on the ships and in the warehouse
- Report unsafe operations and behavior to the assigned production manager
- Responsible for the safe trans loading of cargoes and commodities
- Ensures the maintenance of the crane, including performing pre-job inspections and periodic maintenance
- Ensures the assignment of crew personnel to perform preventative maintenance
- Observes load hookup and determines load safety
- Report ALL incidents through company's reporting protocol
- Support company safety initiatives
- Demonstration of knowledge of all required competencies
- Perform other duties as required
SKILL/ KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- TWIC card required
- Working Experience in the stevedoring/ warehousing industry (preferred)
- Ability to safely operate assigned equipment
- Thorough knowledge of rig operation and maintenance programs
- Thorough knowledge of client personnel safety programs
- At least 40 hours of seat time in all assigned equipment
- Proficiency in equipment and terminal operations
- Be physically fit to perform all essential physical demands of this job safely
- Demonstrated safe work practices, history, and leadership ability
- Commitment to customer service
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Must comply with all operational directives and company policies
