Overview:

The Biden For President Campaign is seeking a Director of Production for the campaign.  This role will lead on developing a production plan for the campaign cycle to support campaign principals and surrogates as they travel the country. A good candidate for this role will be able to move projects forward, take initiative, and communicate effectively from Delaware to ensure a consistent product campaign wide.  This role will be critical to setting standards for high quality event production while making the most effective use of campaign resources.  The Director of Production will need to work closely with advance teams and a variety of vendors, maintaining effective relationships as our team grows. The Director of Production will report to the campaign’s Director of Scheduling and Advance and be expected to work across all departments of the campaign. 

• Develop a campaign wide production strategy supported by union workers
• Be a creative leader on the campaign
• Manage production budgets and work with the campaign’s financial operations team to make the most effective use of the campaign’s resources
• Recruit, Hire, train and manage a team in Wilmington and throughout the country
• Develop new formats for campaign principals to engage voters 
• Manage design needs from conception through implementation 

• 5 years of Production experience, preferably in a Presidential Advance setting 
• Experience managing large work streams 
• Experience working with and managing a diverse range of vendors throughout the country
• Experience budgeting and tracking costs across a range of event formats
• Prior interactions with managing external vendors and IATSE workers
• Ability to plan in advance and take an operation to scale 
• A passion for coaching a team and developing new talent 

• The ability to be nimble and solve problems, including logistical and tactical challenges that may arise during the day-to-day execution of the campaign’s schedule
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with the staff across the campaign and at various levels of seniority
