Media Product Development Manager manages the media product development team. Evaluates capital expenditures, revenue potential, and production methods of new media products. Being a Media Product Development Manager manages the overall media product development process from concept to commercialization. Monitors work flow and deadlines. Additionally, Media Product Development Manager provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to development staff. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Media Product Development Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     • Collaborate with management, departments, and customers to identify end-user requirements and specifications
    • Serve as the government’s point of contact (POC) assigned contracts and task orders.
    • Understand all aspects of the tasks required and closely monitor the work to ensure follow- through and quality
    • Provide technical advice, organize, plan, direct and manage staff to ensure goals and objectives of projects are met within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters
    • Provide problem resolution and ensure customer needs, both internal and external, are fully satisfied and met
    • Provide technical and administrative leadership of tasks, inclusive of financial management and review of work products for correctness, quality, completeness and follow-through
    • Implement process improvement initiatives and provide recommendations on implementing efficiencies and effectiveness to organizational process
    • Develop required training materials on topics such as media relations, public affairs, social media, etc.
    • Establish relationships with other Government organizations to market additional services and opportunities

    Job Requirements
    • Active Secret security clearance
    • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
    • At least 15 years of demonstrated experience with communications and public affairs
    • At least 12 years of demonstrated experience with the management, supervision and training of employees of various labor categories and skills – on programs of 40 Full Time Equivalents (FTEs) or greater in size
    • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of process improvement initiatives, performance management, and project control principles
    • Demonstrated experience identifying user requirements; translating the requirements into project plans and milestones; directing and implementing plans
    • Experience presenting formal project status/plan briefings to the Senior Leadership, including General Officers and members of the Senior Executive Service
    • Experience in working with multi-national and international organizations
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office software, SharePoint and other communications-related software programs
    • Strong oral and written communication skills

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS *

    To visit other company sites, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time. Must possess the ability to quickly adjust controls, see details at close range, respond quickly to signals, and quickly move hands with arms to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects. Must have hearing and speech to communicate in person in a noisy environment, before groups and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas will be required. This position requires an employee to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance, reach, push, and pull. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
