Media Planner is responsible for maximizing the impact of advertising campaigns. Coordinates the development and execution of media and advertising plans that support the client's overall marketing strategy, tactics, message, and objectives. Being a Media Planner uses analytics to design innovative strategies to ensure the client's marketing campaigns reach the target audience. Negotiates media buys, pricing, and media placement scheduling with vendors. Additionally, Media Planner collaborates with stakeholders and vendors to execute plans and control pacing, optimization, and timelines for campaigns. Conducts research on new media strategies, platforms, and channels to utilize for future campaigns or ongoing campaign evolvement. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager. The Media Planner occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. We are seeking a media planner who will be responsible for developing campaign strategy across traditional and digital tactics. This role will both assist in building new plans for their client set and work closely with the buying team to execute approved plans. They will have an active role in the upfront research and ideation of each plan, building rationale for big ideas, smart foundational efforts, media mix and budget allocation. This person is also instrumental in creating client presentations, recommendation proposals and provoking industry POVs and will impact client relationships. Reporting into a director on the team, the senior media planner will also work closely with the buying SMEs on reporting, project timelines and billing. A bias for transparent and open dialogue and an always-learning lens is a requirement.
