Media Planner is responsible for maximizing the impact of advertising campaigns. Coordinates the development and execution of media and advertising plans that support the client's overall marketing strategy, tactics, message, and objectives. Being a Media Planner uses analytics to design innovative strategies to ensure the client's marketing campaigns reach the target audience. Negotiates media buys, pricing, and media placement scheduling with vendors. Additionally, Media Planner collaborates with stakeholders and vendors to execute plans and control pacing, optimization, and timelines for campaigns. Conducts research on new media strategies, platforms, and channels to utilize for future campaigns or ongoing campaign evolvement. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager. The Media Planner occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. The Planner will work together with the Planner(s) to provide administrative support in order to maintain and execute a manufacturing plan that consists of production planning, scheduling and manufacturing order management
Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities:- Works with the Senior Planner to draw up production schedule.
- Make adjustments to Master Schedule as directed.
- Schedules orders for purchasing and production according to Senior Planner.
- Collaborates with team members or department supervisors to resolve constraints or delays of assigned products or components.
- Works with Purchasing Team to ensure material and outside service requirements are met,
- Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions or constraints.
- Communicates updated availability information to Sales and other stakeholder groups.
Education and/or Experience:- High school diploma and/or GED required.
- 2-3 years of administration in a manufacturing environment
- AS degree and 5 years of combination of experience preferred,
- Experience in packing, kitting, industrial products, or machined assemblies a plus.
- Knowledge and experience with Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills; attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment.
- Proficiency in ERP Systems, MS Office and Outlook.
Physical Demands:- No restrictions on wearing required PPE for area, including safety eyewear and steel toed shoes.
