Media Planner is responsible for maximizing the impact of advertising campaigns. Coordinates the development and execution of media and advertising plans that support the client's overall marketing strategy, tactics, message, and objectives. Being a Media Planner uses analytics to design innovative strategies to ensure the client's marketing campaigns reach the target audience. Negotiates media buys, pricing, and media placement scheduling with vendors. Additionally, Media Planner collaborates with stakeholders and vendors to execute plans and control pacing, optimization, and timelines for campaigns. Conducts research on new media strategies, platforms, and channels to utilize for future campaigns or ongoing campaign evolvement. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager. The Media Planner occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     We are seeking a creative and results-driven Digital Media Planner to join our travel industry marketing team. As a Digital Media Planner, you will be responsible for planning and executing digital media campaigns that drive awareness and engagement for our travel brand.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Develop and execute digital media plans that align with our marketing objectives and target audience.
    Lead direct-to-publisher media buying including targeting, segmentation, campaign settings, campaign structure, and device type.
    Lead growth and expansion of in-house publishing team.
    Conduct market research and analyze data to inform media strategy and optimize campaign performance.
    Manage relationships with external media vendors and negotiate contracts to ensure optimal pricing and placement.
    Collaborate with internal marketing teams to develop creative assets that align with media plans and brand guidelines.
    Utilize digital media platforms such as Google AdWords, Facebook Ads, and programmatic advertising tools to execute campaigns.
    Analyze campaign performance data and generate reports to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
    Monitor digital media trends and identify opportunities to improve campaign effectiveness and drive innovation.
    Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure digital media campaigns are integrated with other marketing initiatives.
    Stay up to date with emerging digital media technologies and provide recommendations on how to leverage new opportunities.
    Manage budgets and ensure campaigns are executed within budget constraints.

    REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
    Experience with digital media platforms such as Google AdWords, Facebook Ads, and programmatic advertising tools.
    Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
    Knowledge of market research methodologies and experience conducting consumer research.
    Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate media plans and results to stakeholders.
    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    Passion for the travel industry and a deep understanding of travel consumer behavior.
    Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
    Experience managing budgets and ensuring campaigns are executed within budget constraints.

    EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION
    Bachelors degree in marketing, Advertising, or a related field.
    4 years of experience in paid digital media planning and execution, preferably in the travel industry.
    Experience with SEM (at least 2 years of experience)

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
    Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    Must be able to lift up to 15lbs at a time.
    Ability to travel to home office or other locations as needed.
