    Job summary

    Supports the Director of Sales and Marketing in marketing and advertising efforts for the hotel with strong emphasis on social media. Other focuses include print and digital advertising, broadcast advertising, website management and email campaigns.

    The incumbent is authorized to take reasonable action necessary to carry out assigned duties and responsibilities, provided such action is consistent with position guidelines as outlined below or through the exercise of sound, reasonable judgment and initiative in the performance of job responsibilities.

    Position guidelines include, but are not limited to, established company and department policies and procedures and all supervisory directives.

    Summary of essential job functions

    • Manage all social media and assist with advertising campaigns for hotel and restaurant. Social media platforms include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest etc.
    • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking and audience identification
    • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
    • Organize and maintain file system, back up media content daily
    • Works with Director of Sales and Marketing, Food and Beverage Director and General Manager to create a social media strategy that collaborates with marketing, PR and advertising campaigns
    • Analyze and report social media actions on a monthly basis for successes and new opportunities. Stay current on industry trends
    • Monitor customer review sites and respond as needed
    • Compose and type routine correspondence- daily tasks, weekly strategy notes
    • Develop and maintain marketing calendar
    • Design advertisements and all hotel collateral
    • Manage content and images of OTA sites- Trip Advisor, Expedia, Booking.com, etc.
    • Manage hotel responses for all OTA review sites- Trip Advisor, Expedia, Booking.com, Facebook, Google, etc.
    • Update hotel website to reflect current packages, specials and events
    • Available to attend hotel events as needed for photographs, social media promotions. Some events take place on weekends and during home football gamesEducational/Experience Requirements
    • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school, or any other combination of education, training, or experience that provides the require knowledge, skills, and abilities
    • College degree preferred
    • At least one year of hotel experience preferred
    • At least one year social media marketing experience. Experience including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Google , Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest and more
    • Excellent consulting, writing, editing and communication skills
    • Photography and Adobe Graphic Design experience preferredAbilities Required
    • Ability to effectively deal with customer, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information
    • Considerable ability to listen effectively and speak English clearly on the telephone or directly to the client in a polite and understandable manner
    • Computer skills to include working knowledge of Windows operating system and Microsoft Office programs. Experience in Adobe preferred
    • Strong, professional written and verbal communication skills
    • Exceptional time management skills including the ability to handle multiple projects with changing priorities
    • Ability to sit or stand continuously throughout the day

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
