POSITION: Graphic Design and Media Coordinator, Marketing
Description of Duties: Responsible for graphic design, print coordination, and brand management at Rose State College. Designing various types of marketing materials for Rose State College including advertisements, posters, flyers, billboard designs, online marketing materials, email templates, annual reports, brochures, social media graphics and website creative that meet college needs. Manage the design and production process from beginning to end, engage in outreach with internal teams and external partners and build and nurture business relationships to ensure smooth and consistent communication and timely approvals for content drafts and final deliverables. Oversee and ensure the submission and delivery processes with vendors, including professional finishing options and brand inclusion, within the State and College fiscal policy. Continuously seek feedback and assess brand recognition, recognize opportunities to integrate long-range and intermediate strategic goals from the College's Strategic Plan and mission and vision statements into all aspects of graphic and media design. Collaborate with the marketing team and other college departments to develop creative campaigns that align with the College's various public outreach events and celebrations. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Art, Public Relations, Marketing or related field. Minimum of one year of experience in the graphic design/marketing/creative arena. Please prepare to submit a creative portfolio or a link to your past work prior to interview. Demonstrated skill in graphic design for multiple mediums. Ability to effectively and harmoniously work with colleagues. Excellent time management based on projects prioritization and timelines. Ability to work well within constraints and stay positive in the case of uncertainty. Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and an intimate knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and/or Acrobat. Experience designing for digital or print and coordinating print production for booklets, brochures, and/or other print materials. Light lifting up to 10 lbs and light carrying up to 10 lbs required. Ability to reach above shoulder. Periods of time spent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending and stooping. Mobility to move from building to building on-campus and to visit off-campus sites/facilities.
Desired Qualifications: Graduate Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Public Relations or closely related field. Three or more years of graphic design experience at a higher education institution or private sector. Illustration experience. Deep knowledge of the basics of marketing, graphic design and print publishing. Experience coordinating design and publication of digital promotional pieces. Other marketing skills outside of design are a plus, but not required.
