Role purpose / summary :
This position is based in Los Angeles, CA, and reports to the Production Manager, Media Operations. The Media Operations Coordinator II will manage and schedule projects, as required for Media Operations’ Data I / O, audio post-production, compression, QC, mastering and delivery workflows.
In conjunction with the Production Manager, the coordinator is responsible for managing orders based on projects submitted by internal client representatives.
This includes validating, tracking, and prioritizing projects to ensure orders are processed and delivered on time. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, self-starting individual who can work independently as well as within an established team.
A strong background in media operations will also be critical to the success of the position.
Responsibilities :
Schedule and assign orders to Audio Post-Production and Media Operations resources.
Communicate accurately, clearly, and concisely with internal teams with good understanding of Media Operations workflow (onboarding, project, product coordination).
Run capacity assessments, schedule, and properly escalate overages by liaising between production groups and project.
Manage changes and resolve issues while a project is underway.
Identify gaps in practices and improve procedures.
Confer with department supervisors to determine progress of work and to provide information on changes affecting efficiency and quality of production.
Think of creative solutions to outsource resources, as necessary.
Perform general administration duties as needed.
Competently use and juggle different internal project management systems
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Essential qualifications :
Bachelor's degree preferred
2-3 years experience in the entertainment industry at an administrative capacity or media operations required
Must be highly computer literate, displaying proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel
Experience with Filemaker Pro preferred
Prior experience managing customer needs and projects preferred
