Media Coordinator is responsible for placing, confirming and monitoring media orders. May assist in research for the development of the media plan. Being a Media Coordinator is primarily an administrative role. May require a bachelor's/associate's degree in area of specialty and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Additionally, Media Coordinator has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. SUMMARYThe Media Team works together to photograph and record the day-to-day life of Summer Camp and produce weekly content. Basic job functions include updating camp's media sites (Smugmug, Instagram, etc.), and taking cabin photos at the beginning of each session. Previous experience with video and photo equipment is required and a strong interest in photography and/or videography is encouraged. Media Coordinators are supervised by the Media Director and perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS1. Documents campers, staff, and camp programming using photos and videos. 2. Edits photos and videos using editing software such as Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Lightroom 3. Produces weekly content4. Ensures equal representation of participants across all programs 5. Updates Camp Colman’s media sites 6. Assists in supervision of campers 7. Provides leadership and supervision to any developing leaders placed with the program: LDIs or other Teen Programs8. Lead media related classes that are developmentally appropriate9. Maintains safety and cleanliness standards. Shares cleaning duties with fellow staff10. Maintains equipment in sound and safe order 11. Attends staff meetings and trainings12. Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergencies 13. Other duties as assigned

This position requires the ability to occasionally lift store or janitorial products and supplies, up to 50 pounds. POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK This is a full-time, seasonal position. The usual camp workweek is six days on and one day off, including training, staff meetings, and regular duties. This summer camp position is exempt from minimum wage and overtime regulations per State of Washington wage and hour law.
TRAVEL This position is required to live onsite at camp. All travel required for work will be done by YMCA Authorized Drivers.

Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse camper and staff population. 9. Ability to participate in activities that involve rigorous physical activity in an outdoor setting, including, but not limited to hiking, boating, camping, swimming, etc.

Ability to speak any language in addition to English may be helpful. • Experience with anti-racism practices and coalition building.
