Being a Media Buyer uses analytics to design innovative strategies to ensure the client's marketing campaigns reach the target audience. Negotiates media buys, pricing, and media placement scheduling with vendors. Additionally, Media Buyer collaborates with stakeholders and vendors to execute plans and control pacing, optimization, and timelines for campaigns. Conducts research on new media strategies, platforms, and channels to utilize for future campaigns or ongoing campaign evolvement. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager. The Media Buyer work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Materials Buyer
Job Summary:
As a Materials Buyer with Caldera Manufacturing Group, you are responsible for procuring raw materials, components, and supplies necessary for production processes. Your role is crucial in ensuring uninterrupted production flow, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and securing cost-effective sourcing solutions while adhering to quality standards and delivery schedules.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Researches, analyzes, and forecasts current and future buying trends, markets, styles, and products, with attention to specified target market and demographics.
· Develops and maintains relationships with wholesalers and suppliers.
· Supports the negotiation of contracts with wholesalers and suppliers.
· Purchase MRO & office supplies, managing efficient vendor processes.
· Assesses financial risks of purchases.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, or related software.
· Ability to compile information and make decisions.
· Works effectively under pressure.
· Experience managing inventory.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Strong time management skills.
· Ability to work with ambiguity and to be flexible, able to shift with changing priorities.
· InforVISUAL ERP experience strongly preferred. Other ERP systems preferred.
· Ability to assist with administrative duties as needed.
Education and Experience:
· Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
· Freight industry experience strongly preferred.
· High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
· Experience in a purchasing position strongly preferred.
· Customer service experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
