Media Buyer is responsible for maximizing the impact of advertising campaigns. Coordinates the development and execution of media and advertising plans that support the client's overall marketing strategy, tactics, message, and objectives. Being a Media Buyer uses analytics to design innovative strategies to ensure the client's marketing campaigns reach the target audience. Negotiates media buys, pricing, and media placement scheduling with vendors. Additionally, Media Buyer collaborates with stakeholders and vendors to execute plans and control pacing, optimization, and timelines for campaigns. Conducts research on new media strategies, platforms, and channels to utilize for future campaigns or ongoing campaign evolvement. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager. The Media Buyer work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     LoveToKnow Media is seeking an experienced Media Buyer to join our growing Commerce Team. This critical role will be responsible for running and optimizing all paid promotion of commerce content and all paid audience development initiatives. The Media Buyer will work closely with the Commerce Editorial and Data teams with a specific focus on expanding and scaling LoveToKnow’s Commerce editorial reach, and revenue initiatives.

    The ideal candidate has at least seven years of hands-on experience in the Meta Ads universe, with some experience in other social platforms (X, Pinterest, Snap, TikTok), and all major display networks. The Media Buyer must have a deep understanding of paid traffic acquisition for publishers, with expertise in, and understanding of, affiliate marketing. Experience with major affiliate networks (Amazon, Impact, CJ) is a plus. The Media Buyer must have an entrepreneurial mindset, and a strategic understanding of how to grow paid acquisition to scale LoveToKnow’s commerce revenues.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with Commerce Editorial and Data team members to expand the reach and scale of high-traffic, high spend content promotion campaigns
    • Manage and optimize all paid traffic acquisition efforts across all platforms
    • Strategically approach and expand efforts to test new, emerging, and untapped platforms
    • Maintain scale, revenue, and margin goals for all paid commerce efforts
    • Own and refine continuous testing processes to continuously improve commerce content effectiveness
    • Be familiar with the functionality of all large affiliate networks, Amazon Associates in particular

     

    About You

    • At least 7 years experience buying on major platforms for traffic acquisition, with a focus on affiliate monetization models
    • Experience running 8 figure ad budgets
    • Deep familiarity with all Meta Ads products, and some experience buying on all major social platforms
    • Experience buying on major display ads platforms: Google, Native, etc.
    • Proven testing and optimization mindset: you know how to continuously improve your approach, and what to test to get there
    • Proven flexibility and creativity: you’re as comfortable scaling campaigns as you are hopping in and designing your own creative, crafting headlines and social copy.
    • Inherent expertise with all commerce KPIs, and the demonstrated ability to translate data into tangible improvements
    • Data Driven: you’re able to make informed decisions using the data collected to optimize campaigns, placements, and creative
    • Entrepreneurial mindset: this is a chance to hop in, take an existing process and refine and expand it
