Media Buyer is responsible for maximizing the impact of advertising campaigns. Coordinates the development and execution of media and advertising plans that support the client's overall marketing strategy, tactics, message, and objectives. Being a Media Buyer uses analytics to design innovative strategies to ensure the client's marketing campaigns reach the target audience. Negotiates media buys, pricing, and media placement scheduling with vendors. Additionally, Media Buyer collaborates with stakeholders and vendors to execute plans and control pacing, optimization, and timelines for campaigns. Conducts research on new media strategies, platforms, and channels to utilize for future campaigns or ongoing campaign evolvement. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager. The Media Buyer work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. SUMMARY: This position reports to the Purchasing Manager and will operate cross functionally with all departments. In this role, you will be responsible for commodity planning, supplier selection, negotiating and purchase order management of a diverse product portfolio, ensuring that the Company’s operational needs are met, taking into consideration price, quality, delivery, and sustainability. As an important business partner, you will develop and execute the commodity supply plan, manage internal customer service expectations, and ensure supply continuity in a timely and efficient manner. This role will also provide support and leadership as needed to other buyers in the department. To be successful, you must serve as a subject matter professional in assigned commodities and have a deep understanding of packaging technology and a sound working knowledge of materials, cost drivers, market conditions as well as Bigelow operations.
