Media Buyer is responsible for maximizing the impact of advertising campaigns. Coordinates the development and execution of media and advertising plans that support the client's overall marketing strategy, tactics, message, and objectives. Being a Media Buyer uses analytics to design innovative strategies to ensure the client's marketing campaigns reach the target audience. Negotiates media buys, pricing, and media placement scheduling with vendors. Additionally, Media Buyer collaborates with stakeholders and vendors to execute plans and control pacing, optimization, and timelines for campaigns. Conducts research on new media strategies, platforms, and channels to utilize for future campaigns or ongoing campaign evolvement. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager. The Media Buyer work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     Overview:

    Duties include ensuring that client approved media schedules are implemented properly and timely, working closely with other departments including, billing, web and social. The ideal candidate will have experience planning all facets of digital media (display, mobile, video, social, search, CTV, programmatic). Must be proactive and always looking ahead to anticipate changing consumer media habits, consumer behavior, trends, and other marketplace nuances.
     

    Responsibilities:

    • Plan and execute paid digital media campaigns
    • Present media plans to potential and current clients
    • Work with media vendors to quote and place media
    • Trafficking ad tags and creative using 3rd party ad server tools
    • Work closely with creative team to ensure copy and design aligns with media goals and objectives
    • Take the lead on campaign configuration and implementation
    • Monitor and manage day-to-day operations of social ad campaigns, including: ad implementations, targeting, bid strategy, budgeting, A/B testing, performance analysis, pixel testing
    • Continuously measure campaign performance and ROI, leveraging analysis to identify optimization opportunities including design, content, copy, channel, target audiences and call-to-actions
    • Provide clear and actionable feedback to creative teams in an effort to optimize performance
    • Leverage your digital media expertise and deep knowledge across platform capabilities to help teams make sense of creative opportunities
    • Support the senior team by identifying new partners, tools, and processes that we can use to work smarter
    • Become a more holistic digital marketer, effectively tying a client’s goals to all stages of the consumer journey
    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and updates within the social media marketing world (both paid and organic)
    • Client-facing responsibilities: manage direct client communication in partnership with the account and project management team
    • Collaborate with multiple departments to generate campaign ideas and strategies for current or upcoming marketing initiatives
    • Experience with B2B and B2C brands
    • Responsible for weekly, monthly or quarterly reporting including performance metrics and insights

    Qualifications


    • At least two years of direct experience in executing paid media campaigns within Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google Ads and Microsoft Ads
    • Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Excel and/or Google sheets experience
    • Google Tag Manager experience not required, but a plus
    • Comfort in solving for technical issues relating to advertising campaigns
    • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to synthesize data and provide insights and strategic actions
    • Ability to oversee projects and solve problems creatively and effectively
    • Strong collaboration, and communication skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
    • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
    • Agency experience a plus
    • Detail oriented and strong presentation skills
