Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician
The electro-mechanical engineering technician will be responsible for diagnostics and repair of various manufacturing equipment. This position is responsible for helping design and install production equipment and tooling. The electro-mechanical engineering technician will also create schematics, drawings, and work procedures and provide training to technicians and production employees on proper equipment use and maintenance.
Essential Functions
· Responsible for monitoring and maintaining and improving the operations of all Facility and Equipment systems including PLC’s, controls, switches, solenoids vacuum deposition systems, conveyors, ovens, HVAC systems, and more.
· Conduct setup and programming of manufacturing equipment.
· Assists upper management in the evaluation of new processes, equipment selection, & materials
· Acts as liaison between maintenance and manufacturing
· Creates new procedures and updates existing ones.
· Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems.
· Determines materials, replacement parts, and tools needed to proceed with a logical approach to repairs, maintenance and rebuilds.
· Ability to read and follow equipment manufacturer’s specifications.
· Proficient in using electronic diagnostic equipment.
· Create schematics for custom equipment.
· Perform layout and bench work; inspect, dismantle, repair, rebuild, assemble, weld, install and lubricate machinery and mechanical equipment throughout the manufacturing facility.
· Creative and effective problem-solving skills
· Completes tasks as directed by Manager with minimum supervision.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and areas where electrical current is present. Job duties are often performed in areas where hazardous chemicals are present. The electro-mechanical engineer will be required to learn and assist in all areas of production, including the clean room. Appropriate clean room attire and PPE must be worn as required.

Required Education and Experience
· AS/BS degree in an Electro-mechanical Engineering field or equivalent work experience
· Five years minimum of related experience in a manufacturing environment
· Five years minimum in the electronics field
· Read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
· Proficient in AutoCAD
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access)
· Valid driver’s license and own transportation
