Project Name: Engineering Group Project Assistance
Project Duration: Full Time, Summer 2024
Project Location: Magris Talc, Vermont Operations - Ludlow, VT
Project Mentor: Mechanical Engineer
Desired Degree: Ideal candidates would have experience in a mechanical related curriculum and be currently, at minimum, a sophmore. Preferred degrees would be ME or MET.
Coursework Prerequisites: CAD, Machine Design,strengths of materials, statics.
PROJECT SCOPE:
Job entails working in an industrial environment. Duties include performing equipment surveys, mechanical design, CAD drawing development, and documentation gathering. Candidate would provide assistance with maintenance reliability programs.
Mechanical design will primarily involve drawing/designing jet mill components, drawing/design of equipment, updating drawing red lines and mechanical enhancements to existing systems at the Vermont Operation.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Experience with SolidWorks software is preferred. Drawing development will primarily be mechanical in nature. It is important that candidates are mechanically inclined, “hands on”, and able to conceptualize designs in 3D. Training will be provided; must be willing to learn and take on projects. Position is 40 hours per week during the summer months.
