Mechanical Engineering Technician assists mechanical engineers in the planning and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery, such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc. Helps prepare proposals and cost estimates. Estimates work load to establish completion dates. Being a Mechanical Engineering Technician requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Mechanical Engineering Technician may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. This technician performs simple routine tasks under close supervision or from detailed procedures and drawings. Work is checked in progress or on completion.
This person performs one or a combination of such typical duties as:
Applicant will be required to work as part of a team tasked to assemble, install and operate complex mechanical components in support of operational, performance and qualification testing.
Ability to read pneumatic and hydraulic schematics and interpret assembly drawings and parts lists required.
Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office a plus.
The applicant must be eligible for a security clearance up to and including Secret level.

Fork lift certification
