Mechanical Engineering Technician jobs in Hyannis, MA

This technician performs simple routine tasks under close supervision or from detailed procedures and drawings. Work is checked in progress or on completion.

This person performs one or a combination of such typical duties as:

• Disassembling and Assembling of mechanical parts or installing equipment or parts requiring an understand and use of hand tools and possibly simple wiring, soldering, or connecting.
• Performing simple or routine tasks or tests such as tear down of assemblies, identification of components, reassembly of sub-assemblies and assemblies operating and adjusting simple test equipment; records test data.
• Gathering and maintaining specified records of engineering data such as tests,calibration logs etc.

Applicant will be required to work as part of a team tasked to assemble, install and operate complex mechanical components in support of operational, performance and qualification testing.

Ability to read pneumatic and hydraulic schematics and interpret assembly drawings and parts lists required.

Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office a plus.

The applicant must be eligible for a security clearance up to and including Secret level.

Preferred Qualifications:

Fork lift certification
