Mechanical Engineering Supervisor jobs in Worcester, MA

The Electro-Mechanical Assembler works in a one-piece flow cell performing bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and subassemblies, using hand tools. This is for the specialized computers and displays and requires assembling ESD sensitive delicate components and cables. Positive attitude and team player. Ability to read and write English. Able to work with limited supervision in a team environment. Demonstrate knowledge/capability to build and possibly do limited testing on units on manufacturing floor.

Responsibilities:

• Function in Lean manufacturing environment, adding value by reducing waste.
• Understands Assemble/test parts using drawings, bill of material.
• Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods, including crimping is required
• Ability to use common hand and power tolls, may require use of specialized tools
• Follow documented procedures in fitting, adjusting and proper functioning of parts
• Meet job completion and ship dates
• Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the production supervisor
• Maintain good housekeeping of area
• Assist in other manufacturing cells as required
• Assembly requires medium lifting (between 10-25 lbs.) anything over will be a supported lift.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

• Milford, MA: Relocate before starting work (Required)
