Mechanical Engineering Supervisor jobs in Wisconsin
Mechanical Engineering Supervisor oversees the designing of engines, tools, and other mechanical equipment and industrial processes. Also responsible for supervising the production, operation, repair and maintenance of equipment. Being a Mechanical Engineering Supervisor may work with other engineering departments to aid in the development and usage of robotics to improve productivity. A level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. Additionally, Mechanical Engineering Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. About the Role:- This is a hands-on working position that will involve designing, checking, and approving both mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Investigate and approve changes to engineering documentation when manufacturing issues arise to insure on-time delivery of customer products.
- Participate in new product development from the design concept to final product specification.
Job Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 7 years of experience
- Previous supervisory or team leader experience is strongly preferred, but not required.
- Must have industrial control panel design experience/knowledge (preferably custom in nature)
- Experience negotiating with vendors supplying electrical and sheet metal components as appropriate, participate in meetings discussing technical aspects with suppliers may be required
- Strong technical knowledge required with experience in the electrical/electronic, and mechanical engineering discipline, and preferably related to variable frequency drives, and panel shop manufacturing (UL598A preferred)
