Mechanical Engineering Supervisor oversees the designing of engines, tools, and other mechanical equipment and industrial processes. Also responsible for supervising the production, operation, repair and maintenance of equipment. Being a Mechanical Engineering Supervisor may work with other engineering departments to aid in the development and usage of robotics to improve productivity. A level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. Additionally, Mechanical Engineering Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members.     Job Description:

    Detail-oriented, reliable, creative team-player to assist in field evaluations of in-service equipment and piping systems and analyze, calculate, and design for new or rehabilitated infrastructure.


    Job Duties/Responsibilities:

    •Support field evaluations of in-service piping

    •Assist in development of calculations, repair drawings, specifications, and scope of work packages

    •Assist in developing reports


    Minimum Qualifications:

    •Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering

    •Experience: Min Yr = 0 Max Yr = 1

    •Licensure: Eligible to take E.I.T. within one year of start date preferred

    •Technical Skills: Working knowledge of AutoCAD preferred

    •Management: No management experience required

    •Other Skills: Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

    •Learn basics of developing calculations and analytical models


    Individual field assignments typically each have their own unique requirements.  Prior to deployment on any field assignment, you must be able to meet all client-specific site requirements.  Should you be unable or unwilling to meet assignment-specific requirements, your continued employment would then be subject to the availability of other assignments whose requirements can be met.  These unique requirements may include:

    •You must possess physical mobility (on the ground and at heights).

    •You may be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs.

    •You may be required to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off platforms/scaffolding/ladders using the appropriate and required fall protection.  

    •You must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold, and wind) while wearing the appropriate PPE. This may include but not be limited to a hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves, and leather, steel-toed work boots.  

    •You may be required to position yourself to work in confined spaces

    •You may be required to adhere to a client’s random drug testing program prior to entering their site.

    •You may be required to meet a client’s facial hair safety policy prior to entering their site.
