Mechanical Engineering Manager manages the design and analysis of mechanical components and systems to meet specified requirements and standards. Provides technical direction to team members in designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems or components. Being a Mechanical Engineering Manager utilizes CAD software and other design and modeling tools to plan, develop, and improve mechanical parts or components. Oversees prototype testing to evaluate the performance, reliability, and safety of mechanical systems and reviews data and analysis to develop improvements. Additionally, Mechanical Engineering Manager manages engineering projects through their entire lifecycle, including cost and requirement analysis, scheduling, and coordinating activities with stakeholders. Establishes programs to support training, process improvements, and best practices and protocols. Leads initiatives with other departments to identify potential products and projects. Stays abreast of new technologies and processes and implements changes to improve the organization's mechanical engineering capabilities. Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Job Description Summary: The Engineering Manager position with Fluid Quip Mechanical reports directly to the Director of Fluid Quip Mechanical. The Engineering Manager is responsible for managing all technical work within FQM, including but not limited to engineering, manufacturing, project management, and research and development. The Engineering Manager is also responsible for identifying new equipment applications and strategic business opportunities and helping to create the plan to pursue those opportunities. The Engineering Manager is responsible for all budgets and timelines related to these areas and ensuring that the strategic initiatives are met. The Engineering Manager must be able to communicate and coordinate effectively with various stakeholders including customers, suppliers, and internal team members.

Fluid Quip Mechanical
Fluid Quip Mechanical (FQM) fully supports ethanol plants mechanical needs ranging from field service to assisting in preventative maintenance planning. FQM’s operations include field service, shop rebuild, inventory/logistics, and plant reliability teams. FQM teams support new Fluid-Quip equipment commissioning, field equipment upgrades, in-house and field equipment rebuilds and parts supply across the Midwest. The FQM base of operations is in Columbus, WI with the inventory warehouse and shop for repairs and rebuilds. FQM also has multiple fleet vehicles and teams to service customer equipment in the field.
