  • JOB SUMMARY:

    Gallo Mechanical is looking for a Mechanical Construction Project Manager to join our high performing team. As a Project Manager, you will be the primary point-person responsible for managing the entire life cycle of a project from inception through to closure. The Project Manager shall ensure that the project is delivered safely, efficiently, and effectively in accordance with the agreed upon budget, schedule, quality, and to exceed the client’s expectations. To achieve these important goals, the Project Manager will define project requirements and scope, manage project costs, mange field labor, and manage subcontractors.

    Efficient delivery of project deliverables, effective quality control, clear communication of expectations to stakeholders, and upward reporting to senior management are critical tasks that must be performed throughout each project’s lifecycle. The Project Manager will also develop and maintain long term customer relationships to foster better communication and develop future work.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage and oversee mechanical construction projects of various sizes and complexity.
    • Ultimately responsible for quality projects being built on time and within budget.
    • Work with the client (internal or external) to define the project scope, schedule, deliverables, risks and expectations that are considered to deliver a successful project.
    • Responsible for managing the installation of HVAC and Plumbing that meet code requirements, budget, and on-time installation.
    • Evaluate estimate and set-up job costing system with labor, material, and subcontract cost codes.
    • Negotiate and prepare vendor and subcontractor purchase orders and evaluate submittals to reflect contract drawing and specifications.
    • Conduct monthly reports and cost reviews – keep all participants and stakeholders informed in order to bring the job in on time and under budget.
    • Build and maintain strong customer relations with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal customers.
    • Evaluate and develop field personnel including workers, foremen, and superintendents.
    • Maintain a safe and secure work environment through maintaining safety meetings, incident investigations, and employee involvement.

    IDEAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field, or significant related experience in Construction Management.
    • 7 years of relevant project management work experience; experience in the mechanical construction/plumbing industry is strongly preferred.
    • Demonstrate knowledge in construction management principles, practices and methods, environmental regulations, engineering project management methods, workplace safety, budgeting, employee supervision and personnel management.
    • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. He or she should be competent in handling simultaneously occurring tasks and smaller projects.
    • Ability to solve complex, multi-faceted problems using various problem-solving techniques.
    • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
