Description:

Actalent is looking for a mechanical design engineer in the SLC, Utah area - this person will take R&D drawings, documents and format them into work/maintenance instructions. This company is a med-device manufacturer, therefore the change orders will need robust documentation. Most of their time will be spent creating qualifications for the equipment. They will be creating the work instructions and then running the risk assessment - they will need to root cause with cross functional teams. This position is heavy documentation and lots of communicating between cross functional teams. The candidate will be expected to expand on their implementation experience with respect to change orders and provide examples of how they completed projects.

This is a new process and system for the team so there will be a lot of engineering change orders and documentation back and forth between teams on modifications that need to be made and why.

Skills:

Design, Mechanical, Solidworks, Mechanical engineering, Project management, change order, work instruction, documentation/technical writing, Medical device *familiarity with Class 1, 2, or 3 is a bonus, Autocad, Mechanical design, New product development, Cad, Engineering

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Solidworks & Autocad experience

Work instructions for operating the equipment

Risk assessments on running the new piece of equipment

Maintenance instructions for how to resolve issues

Qualification documentation and push it through our maintenance system

Test build on the parts and collect that information for the change notice after

Implementation logistics (working with vendors, line layouts, etc.)
