Mechanical Designer jobs in Nevada
Mechanical Designer designs and creates layouts and documentation for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical building systems that meet project and technical specifications. Uses computer-aided design (CAD) and other specialized software tools to generate detailed layout plans, schematics, and drawings for mechanical systems. Being a Mechanical Designer maintains accurate and complete change and version control on all design files, documents, and drawings. Incorporates best practices to address design space constraints and ensure compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and building codes. Additionally, Mechanical Designer collaborates with engineers and other project members. May conduct or participate in site visits to inspect installations or troubleshoot problems. May require an associate degree in mechanical design, drafting or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Mechanical Designer works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Mechanical Designer - Las Vegas, CATeam member will work closely with project managers, lead engineers, and clients on the mechanical (HVAC and Plumbing) portion of projects to:
- Assist lead engineer in the preparation of mechanical designs and project deliverables
- Remain responsive
- Exceed client expectations
- Meet multi-disciplinary objectives
- Adhere to project budget and schedule requirements
- Provide support during the construction administration phase
Minimum Requirements:
- Mechanical systems design experience, including the production of project deliverables
- Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD
- Proficient in Revit BIM software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software suite (Outlook, Word, Etc.)
- Strong desire to work with team members and maintain client relationships
- Ability to conduct site investigations
Preferred:
- Interest in sustainable design practices and developing the firm’s sustainable marketability
- Participate in efforts to support an innovative and forward-thinking work environment

Salary: $50,000 - $95,000 / yr
