Overview: We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the construction process by accurately estimating project costs and ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle. This is a key position that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively negotiate contracts. Duties: - Analyze project plans and specifications to determine project requirements - Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment - Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing - Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure favorable terms - Utilize industry-specific software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to create detailed estimates - Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and implement cost control measures as needed - Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure accurate budgeting and scheduling - Review and analyze construction contracts to identify potential risks or discrepancies - Provide support during the bidding process by reviewing bid documents and attending pre-bid meetings Experience: - Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably in commercial or residential construction projects - Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods - Proficiency in industry-specific software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam - Excellent mathematical and analytical skills - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Effective negotiation skills - Knowledge of project management principles - Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications - Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred) Join our team as an Estimator and contribute to the success of our construction projects.
