Looking to add to our meat cutting team. 4 day work week, great pay and benefits offered (health insurance after 90 days, 401K matching after 1 year) Four paid holidays a year and major holidays off. Experience is always a plus but we are willing to train you. Some light lifting involved (no more than 50 lbs) and must be able to work 1 weekend day.
Responsibilities:
- Cut, trim, and portion different types of meat products such as beef, pork, poultry, and seafood
- Follow established recipes and guidelines to ensure consistency in product quality
- Use knives and other cutting tools to perform precise cuts and remove bones, fat, and gristle from meat
- Package and label meat products for display or storage
- Ensure proper storage and handling of meat products to maintain freshness and prevent contamination
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the cutting area
- Assist customers with their meat selection and provide excellent customer service
Skills
- Knowledge of food handling and culinary techniques
- Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
- Proficient knife skills for precise cutting and trimming
- Experience working in a kitchen or food production environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
